The Role

The role is to become a valued member of the Minesto team and take on the responsibility for the consenting aspects of our tidal energy projects.

You will be based in Holyhead but the role will include travel to other Minesto Office bases and Project Sites.

You will form part of the Minesto UK set up where you will play an important part in delivering a range of Minesto projects onshore & offshore including DG500. The goal of the DG500 project is to deliver the Deep Green power plant off the coast of Holy Island. 

The broad range of activities include gaining necessary planning consents, discharging conditions ready for projects to be built and ensuring consent and environmental compliance during construction, including consent compliance during the operational phase of a project,

Responsibilities

Working within the project support team you will take overall responsibility for the offshore and onshore consents related to our tidal energy project including the management of 3rd parties, stakeholders including the general public & statutory bodies; consultants and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage required consent applications to time and budget
  • Discharge consent conditions
  • Amend existing consent conditions
  • Apply for and secure new marine licences and permissions as required
  • Fisheries Liaison and negotiator
  • Manage compliance with legal agreements, including leases
  • Manage construction and post construction monitoring related to consent compliance 

Your Profile, Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced, well-organised, structured Consents Manager who enjoys working within a team environment.

In possession of a positive mind set towards challenges, results-oriented, energetic and flexible, with the ability to take initiative & make decisions.

Key Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent training / competence
  • Experience within consenting in the offshore marine energy sector
  • Good communication skills

Desirable

  • Project management related skills in relation to program and budget
  • Demonstrable competence in environmental science
