The role is to become a valued member of the Minesto team and take on the responsibility to project manage the DG500. The position will manage the assembly, installation, commissioning, and operation of Minesto’s Deep Green 500 project. This is a single commercial-scale demonstrator power plant and the proposed expansion into a multi-device array in future phases.
You will be based in Holyhead, but the role will include travel to other Minesto Office bases and Project Sites where a flexible approach to working hours will be required.
You will form part of the Minesto UK set up where you will play an important part in delivering the DG500 project off the coast of Holy Island.

As the DG500 Project Manager your responsibilities will include all project aspects including planning, budget, reporting, procurement, resource allocation, execution, testing, delivery and documentation.
The role will also include some representation at public stakeholder events and business trips to key suppliers.
You will report to the Chief Operations Officer.
Your Profile, Experience and Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced project manager with a technical background and documented ability to bring small but complex projects to successful conclusion.
You are likely to be attracted by the huge challenge of marine renewable technology development and driven by the desire to make it commercial.
The ability to work in a team environment across multiple sites, with a positive approach to solve any challenge that may appear is essential.
Ideally, having worked in the marine renewable industry would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have sufficient knowledge and experience to quickly become familiar in the key aspects of Minesto’s technology, to make key technical and commercial decisions.
- Minimum qualification is a good degree within naval, mechanical or an electrical engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Documented Project Management skillsets and experience
