Minesto and SEV to showcase Faroe Islands’ partnership to European energy industry
Minesto together with the electric utility company SEV will speak at international energy conferences Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference and POWERGEN Europe, to showcase their joint project to make tidal energy a vital part of the Faroe Islands’ transition to a 100 percent renewable energy system.
CEO Dr Martin Edlund will be joined by Terji Nielson, Head of R&D at SEV to present how Minesto and SEV works together to realise the long-term ambition of a large-scale build out of tidal energy by Minesto’s technology as a core energy source in the Faroe grid mix.
OEEC is Europe's leading gathering of the entire offshore energy industry and the conference features a spectrum of topics from technological innovation in various disciplines to industry wide strategic challenges.
Martin Edlund and Terji Nielsen have been invited as speakers at a dedicated Marine Energy Event during OEEC on the 9th of October. The session will delve into how Europe is positioned to lead the energy transition while also showcasing how marine energy solutions could be successful export products.
POWERGEN Europe is renowned as the annual meeting place for the power generation community, and it is co-located with European Utility Week. This year’s theme is “Powering the low carbon transition” and on the 13th of November, Martin Edlund and Terji Nielsen will participate in a session called Emerging renewable technologies.
