Minesto hosts Ministerial visit

On Thursday, Minesto had the honour of being visited by Ken Skates AM, Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport in Wales, at the company’s UK head offices in Holyhead. The Cabinet Secretary was given an update of Minesto’s operations in Wales as well as a tour to see Minesto’s DG500 marine energy converter among other things.

“We had a very inspiring discussion with the Cabinet Secretary regarding the role and potential of marine energy in Wales. He was really interested in getting to know more about our unique technology and our activities in Anglesey”, said Minesto’s CEO Dr Martin Edlund.

Second installation phase at Holyhead Deep completed

Minesto has completed the second offshore installation phase of its DG500 project in Wales. Having installed the tether, micro grid system buoy and umbilical, all supporting components and systems needed to deliver the power produced by Minesto’s first system of the unique Deep Green technology in Utility Scale are now in place.
