This week Minesto participated in the Swedish investor event Aktiekvällen themed renewable energy in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The company presentation and a following climate change panel debate with CEO Dr Martin Edlund are available to watch online.

Minesto proud sponsor of Marine Energy Wales Conference 2020

Minesto is sponsoring the annual Marine Energy Wales Conference which this year will be held in Llandudno, North Wales on 29–30 April.

The MEW Conference is the largest conference in the UK dedicated to marine energy and is now in its 11th year, with more than 200 professionals from all over the world joining for a showcase of the Welsh marine energy industry, current projects and future plans.

Due to popular demand this conference will take place over 2 days for the very first time.

TO3 Warrants has started trading

Warrants of series TO3 in Minesto, which was issued in conjunction with the issues of units that Minesto carried out in October and December 2019, has now been admitted to trading on Nasdaq First North Growth Market.

Each TO3 warrant gives the holder a right to subscribe for one new share in Minesto AB during the period up to and including April 30, 2021.

New International Strategy for Wales launched

The Welsh Government has launched the new “International Strategy for Wales”. The strategy sets out how Welsh Government will deliver three key ambitions: to raise Wales’ profile on the international stage, to grow the economy by increasing exports and attracting inward investment, and to establish Wales as a globally responsible nation.

Marine renewable energy features prominently within the new strategy. The document reiterates Welsh Government’s support for the industry and its aim for Wales to be a global centre of excellence for the marine energy sector.

EU announce €1 trillion Green Deal Investment Plan

The European Commission has presented “The European Green Deal’s Investment Plan – the Sustainable Europe Investment Plan” to mobilise public investment and unlock private funds through EU financial instruments, which would lead to at least €1 trillion of investments.

Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President for an Economy that Works for People, said: “For Europe to transition to a climate-neutral economy, we need both political commitment and massive investments. The Green Deal shows our determination to tackle climate change, which we are now backing up with a funding plan.”

Local supply chain in focus when Swedish newspaper Bohusläningen reports on Minesto’s DG100 project

In late December Swedish newspaper Bohusläningen reported about Minesto and the company’s collaboration with Elitkomposit in Uddevalla, who has been assigned the task of manufacturing the wing and other parts that make up Minesto’s first power plant of the company’s DG100 model.
