The management team consists of dedicated people with a combination of proven entrepreneurial management skills, extensive engineering experience and offshore operations expertise.

The team represent a range of backgrounds to cover key areas in technology development and commercialisation, international sales, funding and financing.

Dr Martin Edlund

Chief Executive Officer. Employed since 2016.

Dr Martin Edlund has for the last 20 years combined management consulting and strategy research collaboration with world-class technology companies such as ABB, GE, LM Ericsson and SKF. He has been active in the marine energy industry for the last decade. Since 2016 Martin Edlund leads Minesto's company strategy to commercialise its unique product.

Education: Ph.D. in Innovation Management, M.Sc. in Engineering Physics.

Fredrik Ahlström, CFO of Minesto

Fredrik Ahlström

Chief Financial Officer. Employed since 2015.

Fredrik Ahlström has 20 years of experience in financial management and international business, leading financial operations of companies in capital-intensive industries and holding strategic positions in management teams and boards.

Education: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Economics.

Bernt Erik Westre

Chief Technology Officer. Employed since 2016 (CTO since 2017).

Bernt Erik Westre has 20 years of experience with engineering, concept development and project management in offshore energy, including engineer, manager and senior advisor positions at GVA Consultants and Aker Maritime.

Education: M.Sc. in Marine Technology.

David Collier, COO of Minesto

David Collier

Chief Operating Officer. Employed since 2017.

David Collier has for the last 30 years spent the vast part in offshore energy, building and leading engineering teams and creating commercial solutions. For the last decade engaged in technical and commercial development of wave and tidal power devices, including the position as Project Manager at MeyGen, the largest planned tidal stream project in the world, leading the development of the only commercial scale multi-turbine tidal energy array to have commenced operation.

Education: 1st Class Civil Engineering degree.
