Board of Directors

Minesto's Board of Directors consists of a mix of highly experienced people combining entrepreneurial track records and extensive experience of business development with expertise in technology development, commercialisation of new products and project finance.

Bengt Adolfsson

Chairman of the Board. First elected in 2010. Not independent of the company’s major shareholders (represents BGA Invest AB).

Bengt Adolfsson is Managing Director and owner of the investment company BGA Invest. Previous positions include the role as CEO and later Chairman of Hildning Anders, at the time Europe’s largest bed company. During Bengt Adolfssons time at Hildning Anders the company grew from a turnover of €6m to nearly €400m.

Education: Economic studies.

Git Sturesjö Adolfsson

Board member. First elected in 2010. Not independent of the company’s major shareholders (represents BGA Invest AB).

Git Sturesjö Adolfsson is vice president of BGA Invest. She has 20 years of experience in top management leading marketing and sales organisations in both international and domestic business in L’Oréal, Arla Foods as Marketing manager and Malmö Aviation as Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Education: Economics Degree.

Göran Linder

Board member. First elected in 2007. Not independent of the company’s major shareholders (represents Midroc New Technology AB).

Göran Linder is CEO of Midroc New Technology and Midroc Invest, which is the venture capital investment arm of Sheik Mohammed Al-Amoudi's business portfolio. He has more than 25 years of experience in sales, business development and management with extensive knowledge in technology related areas.

Education: M.Sc. in Engineering.

Javier Sanz

Board member. First elected in 2018. Independent of the company and its management and of the company’s major shareholders.

Javier Sanz is CTO Renewable Energies at InnoEnergy, a leading European investor in renewable energy, where he leads the company’s strategy in renewable energy. He has more than 25 years of professional experience developing new products and bringing them to the market in the energy and aerospace sectors.

Education: M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, M.Sc. in Renewable Energies, Ex-MBA InnoEnergy Business School

Jonas Millqvist

Board member. First elected in 2018. Independent of the company and its management and of the company’s major shareholders.

Jonas Millqvist is Senior Underwriter at Denmark’s Export Credit Agency. He has extensive experience in business development and finance in renewable energy, having worked eight years for global wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems. During his time with Vestas, Jonas led teams in treasury and structured finance, facilitating large-scale wind power projects through different financial solutions.

Education: B.Sc. in Economics and Political Science.

Dr Martin Edlund

Board member and CEO. First elected in 2008. Not independent of the company and its management.

Dr Martin Edlund has for the last 20 years combined management consulting and strategy research collaboration with world-class technology companies such as ABB, GE, LM Ericsson and SKF. He has been active in the marine energy industry for the last decade. Martin Edlund has been CEO of Minesto since 2016, leading the company’s strategy to commercialise its unique product.

Education: Ph.D. in Innovation Management, M.Sc. in Engineering Physics.

Andreas Gunnarsson

Deputy board member. First elected in 2007. Not independent of the company’s major shareholders (represents Midroc New Technology AB).

Andreas Gunnarsson is Portfolio Director at Midroc New Technology. Previous positions include Investment Manager at Saab Ventures. He carries an extensive experience of developing and growing high-tech start-ups ever since the mid-1990s.
